Hey everyone. Today at Sinclair Secondary School we hosted a wonderful media release event. In the audience we had Whitby This Week, Oshawa This Week, Rodger's TV, 94.9 The Rock and many other supporters. The highlight of the event was the live sample of "Takin' Care of Business" by the students of Sinclair. They were amazing!
I wish to thank all those in attendance for their continued support.
Check out all the media outlets for coverage of this media release event.
Now I'm very tired, it's a Friday, and I'm looking forward to relaxing this weekend. But, of course, I'll be playing my guitar!

Hi everyone. Only 2 weeks to the big event! Are you as pumped as I am?
I am finalizing the evening's festivities. It's gonna be awesome. In addition to attempting the guitar record, you'll enjoy a great performances put on by these amazing musicians:
- 2 time Juno award winner blues guitarist Jack De Keyzer
- World top 10 guitar hero Juan Coronado
- London virtuoso guitarist Scott Szeryk
- League of Rock's ALPHA Dawgs
- + many more
We'll also be taking a run at the Air Guitar World Record. This event is open to everyone in the arena, even the spectators. Tell all your friends to buy spectator tickets and come along!
Don't forget that surplus proceeds will go to War Child. Dr. Samantha Nutt, founder of War Child, will be in house to speak to our audience!
So for $10 you get a concert, 2 world record attempts and a donation to a great cause. How cool is that?

Hey everyone. Only 2 days away! You may be relaxed and ready for fun but I'm burning it...still ready for fun though. I want this to be a great event for all involved, offer the community a chance to get together and help a great charity. I'll do whatever it takes.
I did another 94.9 The Rock interview with Craig Robertson on Wednesday of last week. I'm on again with Craig tomorrow at 7:30am. Tune in to hear last minute info. Randy Bachman's interview with Craig aired this morning as well. Thanks to Randy and Craig for a great interview. We wish Randy could be there but the music business has a high demand on artists. Best of luck to Randy on the Sweden Rock Festival and the reunion of Bachman & Turner.
I was on Roger's Daytime TV today with Christian and Kasia. Thanks to them both for having me on air. You'll get to see Christian and the ALPHA Dawgs on Thursday night.
The evening's schedule is as follows:
5:00pm gates open
5:30pm - Mixed Reality Alternative Rock Group
6:00pm - Hal Draper - SOCAN Award winner, songwriter and local performer
6:30pm - League of Rock's APLHA Dawgs
7:00pm -Opening Ceremony
7:15pm - Guitar Virtuoso Scott Szeryk
7:45pm - Carl Dixon of Coney Hatch
8:15pm - World Top 10 Player Juan Coronado
8:45pm - Air Guitar Record Attempt
8:55pm - Real Guitar Record Attempt
9:10pm - 2x Juno Award winner blues guitarist Jack de Keyzer
You get all this for $10??? Yep. It's amazing. Don't forget you're supporting War Child.
Be sure to check in at the gates with the registration tables. You will give your signature for the real guitar record (if applicable) and the air guitar record (everyone).
The guitar case check (like a coat check) will be available to you at no cost. Thursday should be another 30 degree sunny day. If you can bring a soft shell case or leave your case in your car that would be great. If you have a hard shell case you will have to check it (limited space/fire code).
Remember that spectators are welcome. Let's sell out all the seats to make more money for War Child.
I'll check in tomorrow night then I guess that's it. To quote another great Randy Bachman tune, its time to "Let it Ride".
See you on Thursday!
Rick

Hi everyone. Its been over 1 week since the big even. What a great night. Everyone had such a great time from spectators to guitar players to performers.
Everyone has been asking 2 questions...did we break any records and will we try it again? We'll, I'm currently doing a thorough recount of all the signatures. I'm entering each name on a master document. I'll post the final number but it looks like we're under 1400, not enough for either record. As for the future, who knows. This type of event is well worth the work and effort. However, it is puzzling how so many people are indifferent about such events and couldn't be bothered. Its hard to say if another attempt would bring more people or not. Keep your eyes and ears open just in case.
Check out the great event pics on this site.
Thanks to you all!
Rick
